Urdu Installer For Windows XP, Vista & Windows 7

Using the files from urdu.ca, this 18 MB Urdu installer is made for Windows Vista & Windows 7.

This installer will install a Urdu Font & Urdu Keyboard. Click this link for reading material in Urdu. For writing Urdu, click on the language bar and select Urdu.

For Windows XP, you need to install Urdu Language Support Installer before the above installer. OR you need to do this step also.

This installer was made using Windows program 'IExpress'.

Update 26/06/2011: Now you can download M. Bilal's Pak Urdu Installer to install Urdu.

2. Put your hands in front of your eyes about 9 inches
3. Look at the center of you left OR right hand
4. Move your eye focus to the corner of the hand towards video
5. While watching the corner of the hand, some of video will be visible in background
6. In background, instead of 2 screen, you may be seeing 3 screen
7. Move your hands to eliminate 2 screen on the left & right, so that only center screen is visible
8. Now slowly move your eye focus to center screen & enjoy 3D :)

Run/Install Zorin OS/Ubuntu/Other Linux ISO file from hard disk

You can run/Install Zorin OS/Ubuntu//Other Linux ISO file from the hard disk using UNetbootin. Following are the steps to run Linux.

Download Zorin OS/Other Linux (leave this step if you already have ISO file)
Run UNetbootin
Select Diskimage option & browse Zorin OS/Linux ISO file
Select hard disk in type & select drive
Click OK, so simple :)

It may take some time to finish & give you restart option. After restarting computer, it will give you option to select windows OR Zorin OS/Linux.

For removing Zorin OS entry, just run again UNetbootin in Windows, so simple :)

Later on when you are satisfied with Zorin OS & want to install properly on your system

Be careful, this a is bit advance option to do. Make a free space/Linux partition from Windows OR read 'Repartitioning using Parted Magic' section. Run Linux using the above method & start installation. When if it issue an error 'Failed to unmount partitions' then do this command in terminal 'sudo umount -l -r -f /cdrom' & then click Continue, source. Remaining steps are as usual. Installation tested successfully with Zorin OS 2 Live 32 Bit, etc.
OR you can make a Zorin OS USB with UNetbootin & install from USB
OR burn ISO file on a DVD & install from DVD

Is Pakistan's Law Islamic?

Below is some info give by my L.L.B friend, Mudassar Khan, that Pakistan law is Islamic. With my friend's permission I am pasting info. This discussion was started between me and one person in party. I request Mudassar to put some light on this issue. Below is discussion between me and Mudassar.

MY FRIENDS MSG START
let me clear u, there are two types of laws in Muslim World.
(1)Islamic laws and (2) Sharia.

Islamic laws are derived from Quran and Sunnah and they are implemented according to Sections of Penal Code, Criminal Procedure Code, Anti Terrorism Act, Anti Narcotics Act etc. These are not according to Sharia Laws. They are made and defined by the Parliament (National Assembly+Senate+President). These laws are implemented through Courts and Police Authorities.

But as far as Sharia Laws are concerned, they are mentioned in our Quran and Sunnah which are called Hadd. Punishments in Sharia Laws and Hadd are clearly defined in Quran and Sunnah, likie Rajam (Sangsaar), Cutting of Hand of theif, slapping of hunters etc. No change can be made in Hadd. Sharia Laws are implemented through Qazi and Qazi-ul-Qaza. Sharia is implemented in Saudi Arabia, Iran and Afghanistan in the time of Taliban Rule only.

In our Pakistan and other Islamic countries like Egypt, Sudan, Malashya, Iraq etc, Shariat is not implemented in its real form. We have made amendments in British laws according to our relegion and declared them Islamic Laws, like Pakistan Penal Code 1860, Code of Criminal Procedure 1898 etc.

Only one Ruler, General Zia-ul-Haq had tried to make Sharia Laws when he took over the country. i.e. 1) Qanoon-e-Shahadat Order 1984, (2) Prevention of Gambling Act, 1977, (3) Prevention of Smuggling Act, 1977, (4) Offence of Zina (Enforcement of Hudood) Ordinance 1979, (5) Offence of Qazf (Enforcement of Hadd) Ordinance 1979. He also established Federal Shariat Court, which is still functioning. All matters relating to Sharia is decided by the Federal Shariat Court.

So, one cannot say that there is non-islamic laws in Pakistan. Yes it is true that Sharia is not being implemented in its true form but it is written in our Constitution 1973 that No law can be made which is against the injunction of Islam. Our Coutry's name is Islamic Republic of Islam and Islam is its State Religion. Even if the Parliament tries to make a law which is unislamic, Supreme Court have the power to struck it down.

For example recently, some members of our National Assembly intend to make amendment in Toheen-e-Risalat Qanoon. perhaps You dont know, those members faced very strong resistance from the people of Pakistan and as a consequence thereof, Governor Punjab has been shot dead by his guard. Previously that Governor supported that amendment and his personal guard Mumtaz Qadri shot him 27 bullets in his chest. All Molvis of Pakistan and people of pakistan supported his act.

After the aforementioned discussion, i confidently say that there is no non-Islamic law prevailing in Pakistan. If there is any non-islamic law, ask ur friend to tell me. But first make him clear between Islamic Laws and Sharia/Hadd Laws, which i have cleared above.

How to reinstall Zorin OS/Linux Mint/Ubuntu/Linux

If you are looking for how to install Linux, please follow this link.

When you are reinstalling, your Linux partition and swap partition are already made.

So start installation (skip easy steps) and on partition step (Allocate drive space) select 'Specify partitions manually (advanced)'.

After that select Linux partition and click 'change....' button.

In 'Use as:' select 'Ext4 journaling file system' OR your own choice and in 'Mount point:' select '/'. This makes it root partition. Click 'OK' and then 'Install Now'.

Remaining steps are easy.

Create a MultiBoot Linux/Windows USB from the Linux

Please follow this link for creating MultiBoot USB from the Linux, you may download the latest files from this link in French language. Its supported Linux distributions AND Windows system are on this link. One of the good feature this software is that you don't need reboot your system again & again to check the USB, it has a feature to test USB on spot. If your system does not support to boot from USB, use following CD to let your system boot from USB, it is based on Plop Boot Manager. Below are some elaborated details why we need MultiBoot USB/DVD/CD & Linux installation.

To install Linux, normally we use one CD/DVD containing one Linux distribution. There are so many Linux distributions, about more than one thousand, check distrowatch.com. It is NOT wise to make a CD/DVD for each OR your top 10 Linux distributions. Better is to put all your favorite Linux distribution on to a CD, DVD or USB, even you can include Windows XP/7 on such DVD/USB. After making such DVD/USB, when you reboot with that DVD/USB, it will let you to select which Linux distribution you like to use/install. For most Linux you can run lively without installing it BUT for Windows you may need to install. Hope now it is elaborated.

Because this MultiBoot USB would be created in the Linux, below are some details to install Linux.

Different Linux distribution has different ways to install. I recommend you to install Zorin OS 4. Download from zorin-os.webs.com. Burn it on DVD, restart PC to run its live system. Installation of Zorin OS 3 & 4 is almost same.

Include Hiren's BootCD into MultiBoot USB

1. Install & configre MultiBoot USB on USB drive

Playing with Grub 2

After installing Linux, you may find similar Grub boot loader startup screen.

Most user don't like this list. Here we will learn how to make our own list. I am using Zorin OS 3/Ubuntu 10.04. These steps may be applicable for other Linux. I have dual boot with Windows XP. You may have Windows Vista OR Windows 7 etc.

First of all open terminal and open nautilus/folder browser with root/admin rights.

sudo ls

sudo nautilus &

The '&' sign will let terminal to start nautilus in background. So that the terminal with admin rights would be available to execute further commands.

Now open grub.cfg on following path

/boot/grub/

grub.cfg contains the configuration for current grub menu list. We normally don't edit this file.

Now move control to following path

/etc/grub.d

This contains files starting with different numbers. Lower number files will come first in the Grub menu list. And higher number files will come at the end of Grub menu list.

Now the plan is to make one entry for Zorin OS/Ubuntu and one for Windows XP OR may be other entries according to your requirements. Here, first we create our required entries and if they are working fine, then remove unnecessary entries.

I prefer to create a separate file for each operating system. If you don't prefer that then put all the menu entries into 40_custom file. For details read 'Custom User Entries' section on this link OR visit this link.

Now create a new empty file for Ubuntu/Zorin OS i.e named 41_ubuntu and put following line in it

You can type any thing instead of "Ubuntu" in above lines. These line are just for providing conformation to us when updating grub.

Now copy a required menu entry for Ubuntu from grub.cfg. It would be between these lines

### END /etc/grub.d/10_linux ###

i.e I am copying following data and putting at the end of file 41_ubuntu

menuentry 'Ubuntu, with Linux 2.6.32-16-generic' --class ubuntu --class gnu-linux --class gnu --class os {

You can type any thing instead of 'Ubuntu, with Linux 2.6.32-16-generic' in above lines. This line will become the grub menu entry.

Now put following line at the end of file 41_ubuntu

#EOF

Now save and close file 41_ubuntu

Now right click on file 41_ubuntu and click properties. And then click on permission tab and tick the check box for execution (Allow execution file as program).

Now the process for Ubuntu entry is complete. Do the similar steps for Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows 7 OR other Linux.

After finishing you required entries, we need to update grub by this command

sudo update-grub

This command will ultimately update grub.cfg file automatically.

Now you need to restart computer to test your entries are working file OR not. If they are working fine then you can proceed further for excluding unnecessary entries from the grub menu.

After testing and restarting computer, get the root/admin rights again by executing command given at the start of this post. Now untick the check box for execution (Allow execution file as program) as describe above for following files

10_linux

20_memtest86+

30_os-prober

Now you need again to update grub by following command

sudo update-grub

Now you menu system is ready. Restart computer and enjoy short menu.

For other easy configuration (i.e changing default operating system, boot timeout, resolution, color depth etc) install StartUp Manager.

Linux Gaming Live Distribution

Linux Gaming Live Distribution is specially designed to play Linux games. This contains good collection of games including LAN/Internet games. The following games are included on the most recent release 0.9.5 (below links are of videos/screen-shots/website/etc, where possible)

Note: some games are present on panels/desktop. All games are on mouse right click button. Other than games there are some applications by clicking mouse right button

Basically this is a live DVD but you can install this on hard disk with some trick (because officially this does not give you any option to install on hard disk). For this you may need already installed Linux. You may need good graphic card for some games. Following are steps

Download ISO file Linux Gaming Live Distribution. Be aware that this file is about 4.2 GB
Make a Linux partition of 5 GB size
Either extract the ISO file OR copy DVD to that partition
Put a entry in grub

GRUB 1, put following 4 lines in /boot/grub/menu.lst file

title "Put title of your choise i.e Linux Gaming"
root (hdX,Y)
kernel /boot/vmlinuz26
initrd /boot/lg-live.img
Note: above 2nd line 'root (hdX,Y)', X is your hard disk # (it starts from 0) and Y is your partition # (in GRUB 1 it also start from 0) i.e if you are installing in 1st hard disk 3rd partition then it would be 'root (hd0,2)'

GRUB 2, It may put entry automatically OR put following 5 lines in /etc/grub.d/40_custom

menuentry "Put title of your choise i.e Linux Gaming" {
set root=(hdX,Y)
linux /boot/vmlinuz26
initrd /boot/lg-live.img
}
Note: above 2nd line 'set root=(hdX,Y)', X is your hard disk # (it starts from 0) and Y is your partition # (but in GRUB 2 it start from 1) i.e if you are installing in 1st hard disk 3rd partition then it would be 'set root=(hd0,3)'
Do not forget to update GRUB after editing above file by command 'sudo update-grub'

Linux is a computer operating system like Microsoft's Windows 98/2000/XP/Vista/7 etc, Apple's MAC, Unix OR BSD. It is free & legal to use for personal/commercial. So use Linux.

Following are options to install Linux.

Request Linux IR if you have Linux IC around you.
xPUD (اس تحریر کو اردو زبان میں پڑھنے کے لیے یہاں کلیک کریں) Simple, less space, less download time but still in testing phase, needs 256 RAM & 64 MB Hard Disk space. Click Download, click Install on Hard Drive, click xpud-latest-exe under section 'Install xPUD on Windows XP/Vista/7'. After download, install it like normal windows programs.
WUBI Installer This is easiest, simplest & safest method with some performance plenty. You don't need any CD, ju st download & install. You have an option to uninstall Linux as you uninstall any other program. You will need good Internet speed.
Free Linux CDs If you don't have good Internet speed, you can request Free Linux CD. Keep in mind that it may take some weeks.
Download Linux of Your Choice & Make Linux CD OR Write on USB Flash Data Drive (if you are using option 6.1, you don't need to make CD/USB). I recomment Zorin OS & Ubuntu to download. For older computers download Puppy Linux (for 32 MB RAM computers use Luit Linux). Note Ubuntu's CD may be installed like WUBI Installer.
After above 2 option, you will have Linux CD & ready to install Linux. You have following options

User Virtual PC, Virtual Box, VMWare, QEMU, etc to install Linux inside these virtual machine softwares. If you have downloaded Linux, you don't need to write CD.
Following links may help you to install Linux on hard disk with Windows XP, Windows Vista, Windows OR similar options may be applied on other Windows versions.

You can extend WUBI Installer to a full Linux installation by using LVPM. Don't go for this option if you are not an expert.
Replace Windows with Linux, this option is not recommended OR you are deadly sure.

After you have installed Linux, you may use following software which are almost equivalent of Window's software OR use software that are only available in Linux.

OR you can still get benefit of Open Source Software in Windows.

Zorin OS

Zorin OS is an operating system, just like Windows or Mac. Zorin OS is built on the Linux architecture so it is completely open source, which means that anyone can modify anything in the operating system to suit their liking. Zorin OS is based on Ubuntu Linux which is the most popular Linux operating system in the world. However, Zorin OS is different.

Windows users find it difficult to use Ubuntu due to its unfamiliar user interface. Zorin OS is the solution to that problem. Zorin OS replicates the Windows graphical user interface which makes it easy for Windows users to migrate to Linux, but that's not it. As well as being open source it is also:

Safer than Windows. All the Linux distributions have nearly no risk of getting malware
Faster than Windows. It is tested to be more than twice as fast as Windows Vista (with the effects on)
More customisable than Windows
Built with the help of the community, so even you can contribute to the Zorin OS project! (See the Forums page)
More advanced as new releases take place 6 months after previous ones.
And best of all, its free!

You also don't need to worry about Windows because you can choose to have Zorin OS installed alongside Windows (see the installation page in the Forums for more details) which also means that you can boot up Windows instead of Zorin OS. Furthermore, you can also access all of your Windows files on Zorin OS with the file browser. You can even run your Windows programs on Zorin OS using a program called WINE which is pre-installed.
We only mentioned a few features from Zorin OS here but you can get a bigger picture of Zorin OS by viewing the Screenshots, Videos or Forums page, or by simply installing it.

My Comments

I have used Zorin OS all versions (1 to 3). No dought they are impressive, even if you don't consider as it looks like windows. I hope this distro will be going on the top from desktop users prospective. I have used Red Hat 7.2 back in 2001 or 2002, Ubuntu, Vector Linux, xPUD, Urdu Ubuntu, Urdu Slax, Puppy Linux, Linux Mint, Linux Gaming Live Distribution, Luit Linux, etc as well as dual boot with Windows, multiple Linux distro installation.

I can easily confirm that it is the best Linux distro I have used so far.

I was reading "Tafsir Ibn Kathir" on a website

I was happy with it but for reading page U have to go back & forth, as these are scanned images not a web pages connected with each other.

This motivate me to make something so that we don't need to go back. I used a IFRAME web page with JavaScript. It is not perfect & design is no so good, as I am not a designer. I have just made a somehow framework to read images in serial .This may be helpful in other book. Please check this & use on UR website. May be this is helpful for others. Check below link for it
